Managers collaborating during a training workshop

Management Training that changes how your team works

We run small-group workshops where managers practise giving feedback, running one-to-ones, and delegating without micro-managing. You leave with habits, not just slides.

What we actually teach

Every workshop is capped at 14 participants. We mix short theory blocks with live practice rounds so you can try new approaches before you go back to your desk.

New manager foundations

A two-day programme for people who moved into their first management role in the last 18 months. We cover the shift from individual contributor to manager, how to set expectations clearly, and how to have the awkward conversations you have been putting off. Participants pair up for role-play exercises and get written feedback from the facilitator after each round.

Delegation and prioritisation

Half-day session. Managers bring real tasks from their current workload and we sort them together: what to delegate, what to drop, what to keep. You will leave with a written delegation plan for the next four weeks and a framework you can reuse whenever your plate fills up again.

Performance conversations

Most managers dread appraisals. This one-day workshop replaces the annual review mindset with a rhythm of short, honest check-ins. We practise giving specific praise, redirecting poor performance without damaging trust, and documenting conversations so nothing gets lost. Participants record a practice conversation and receive line-by-line notes.

Time and energy management

Managers lose hours each week to meetings that could have been emails and emails that should have been decisions. In this half-day session we audit your actual calendar, identify patterns, and build a weekly template that protects focused work time. We follow up with a 30-minute call two weeks later to see what stuck.

Why people come back

Since 2018 we have trained over 1,200 managers from 90+ organisations across the UK. Here is what makes our approach different from a webinar or a textbook.

Our facilitators have all managed teams of at least ten people for five years or more. They are not academics reading from a slide deck. When a participant raises a messy, real-world problem, the facilitator can draw on similar situations they have actually handled.

Groups are small. Fourteen is the maximum, and we often run with ten. That means every person speaks, practises, and gets individual feedback during the day.

We send a short questionnaire to each participant's direct reports before and six weeks after the workshop. The results go back to the participant privately. Roughly 78% of past attendees reported a measurable improvement in at least one area their team flagged.

We also offer in-house delivery. If you have eight or more managers who need the same programme, we come to your office and tailor the exercises to your company's context. Pricing for in-house sessions is on our pricing page.

What participants say

Unedited quotes from post-workshop surveys.

"I expected another death-by-PowerPoint day. Instead I spent most of the time practising conversations I had been avoiding for months. By the following Monday I had already used the feedback framework with two of my reports."

Rachel Simmons, operations lead at a logistics firm

"The delegation exercise was uncomfortable because it forced me to admit I was holding on to tasks out of habit, not necessity. My workload dropped noticeably within a fortnight."

David Okonkwo, engineering manager

"Our HR team sent twelve managers through the new-manager programme over three cohorts. The consistency was impressive; every group came back with the same practical tools and similar enthusiasm."

Laura Fenton, head of people at a fintech startup
